Abstracts are limited to 300 words, excluding the title and additional space for 5 references.
Please prepare your abstract under the following headings:
Abstracts will be grouped into coherent panels of up to four or five papers in a 90-minute slot.
All submissions must indicate the main theme most closely related to the abstract being submitted. The Organisation reserves the right to reassign your abstract to a different theme if it is more relevant for programme planning purposes.
The information required for the symposium submission is the following:
Once the symposium is submitted, all members indicated will be able to view the submitted symposium in their personal areas. The abstracts can be submitted by opening the "Abstracts" tab of the symposium and may all be submitted by a single member on behalf of all authors or individually by the authors responsible for the presentation of each abstract.
In either case, all of the first authors responsible for the presentation of each abstract must be correctly identified when submitting the panel.
When submitting the abstracts of the symposium it is required:
Abstract reviewing
Each abstract is reviewed anonymously by two reviewers drawn from JYS Conference Committees, with ad hoc reviewers if necessary.
Reviewing criteria
Clarity of the focus of the research
Originality of the research
Rigour of the research
Significance of the research for education and social practice, policy or theory relating to Youth Studies
