His work draws on traditions in sociology, geography, and labour studies and is aimed at showing how youth subjectivities are constituted through the social and spatial dynamics of contemporary labour and value relations. He has published on rural and regional youth, rural youth mobilities, the way that youth subjectivities are enrolled into value relations and the constitution of distinct labour forces, and the everyday politics of precarious work for contemporary young people.
